The Qlocktwo Touch Clock by Biegert & Funk is the table clock version of the original Qlocktwo Classic. Like the Qlocktwo Classic, it displays the time in words. The words are hidden in a matrix of 11 x 10 seemingly random individual characters and are lighted up by LEDs as the time changes. The display is updated every 5 minutes.
The Qlocktwo clock is a marvel of innovation and engineering design. A special screen process ensures that the lighted words are bright and have pin sharp clarity. The Qlocktwo Touch Clock has the added function of an alarm clock. A light sensor on the clock adjusts the LED brightness automatically according to the ambient light. There is also a night mode which turns the LED off but briefly illuminates for 2 seconds if the clock is touched.
You can also tell the minutes that have passed by the four LEDs at the four corners. Each lighted LED represents a single minute that has passed since the last word matrix update. Last but not least, there is a seconds mode that shows the seconds by using the matrix letters to make up the numbers. This mode is really cool.
The clock supports a total of 13 different languages although the front plate has to be swapped to show the different languages. Furthermore, the front plates are available in 7 different colors. The plates are held in place by magnets and can be easily swapped out without using any tools.
