Thanks to super bright and super efficient LED lights, the humble flashlight has become far brighter and at the same time its size has shrunk significantly. Most can easily fit in the palm of your hand. While new flashlights compete with each other by being brighter and brighter, the Blocklite LED flashlight takes a totally different route. Instead of trying to be brighter than the rest, it is the most minimalistic flashlight that we have ever seen.

The Blocklite LED flashlight’s design is so minimal, it doesn’t even have a battery compartment. It is about half the size of a 9V battery block. In fact it is powered by a 9V battery. On one end of the Blocklite are 6 fairly bright LEDs while on the other end are connectors that snap on the connectors of a 9V battery. When attached to the battery, it looks pretty slick and we kinds like the rectangular body. Not only does it look different from your standard flashlights, the rectangular body prevents it from rolling off a flat surface.

The controls are pretty basic as well. You can have all 6 LEDs lighted up all at once, or just 2 to conserve power. Rated at just 36 lumens, the Blocklite LED flashlight is not meant to go against the super bright LED flashlights that boasts hundreds to over a thousand lumens. However, it is more than bright enough for most people and for most uses. Just for comparison, it is brighter than the standard incandescent bulb flashlights that we all relied on not too long ago.

This is meant to be a super compact flashlight ideal for emergency use or to throw into your EDC kit. Just throw it in your backpack when you go camping or luggage when you go on your next trip. It also makes an ideal emergency flashlight for your car. Just pop it into the glove compartment.
