The Pen Sized Scanner is a gadget that is worthy of being in the arsenal of James Bond or any secret agent worth his salt. The scanner looks like a ballpoint pen and works like a ballpoint pen. However, hidden inside the pen is a 5 megapixel digital camera with a high-precision auto-focus lens. The camera works like a scanner and can take a high resolution 2048 x 1536 pixel photo of any document.
The Pen Sized Scanner even projects a visible red laser frame on the scanned document to help you adjust your scans. The laser frame is activated by halfway pressing the camera shutter button. Twisting the pen apart reveals a USB connector that can be plugged into any computer USB port. Scanned images can then be transferred to the computer. The USB connector is also used for charging the rechargeable battery in the pen.
