The iPin adds a laser to your iPhone. Now, before you get all excited about wagging laser battles with your iPhones, the iPin is a laser pointer for making presentations. But still, in the wrong hands, a laser pointer can still be a deadly weapon of sorts. It can cause blindness but not that we advocate that kind of thing.

Deadliness aside, the iPin is still quite a cool little device. The makers call it the world’s smallest laser presenter and while it will only work when it is plugged into your iPhone’s 3.5mm audio jack, it is a rather tiny gadget measuring just 1.6 cm long. When inserted into the audio jack, only a tiny part of the lens sticks out. Despite its tiny size, it emits a respectable 635nm laser beam. The laser can be turned on or off by rotating the iPin 90 degrees. The iPin requires no batteries of its own and it only drains as much battery as playing a song on the iPhone.

While the iPin by itself is pretty neat, what makes it cooler is the free presentation app that comes with it. With the app, your iPhone becomes an essential presentation tool. It connects to your computer and lets you flip pages of your presentation, acts as a timer plus it lets you control elements on the screen by using your iPhone’s touch screen as a mouse pad.

The iPin is also available for the Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/Note II/Note 3.
